Meet Helen
Helen started her career as a professional model in Europe and then made the transition from being in front of the camera to behind the lens.Helen has been shooting for over 30 years taking photos of actors, celebrities, corporate shoots & families. Some of the most notably clients Helen has photographed are Chris Noth, Gordon Ramsey, Carrie Ann Moss, Jason Isaacs, Colin Mochrie, Scott Speedman, Supermodel Monika Schnarre and many others.
Helen has been featured on CBC Television, Breakfast Television, Fashion Television, Discovery Channel’s “Behind the Lens”, GlobalTelevision, up coming documentary called “The Gray Zone” which explores how women chose to age. Helen’s work has also been featured in magazines such as Flair, Elle, More Magazine, a feature in The Toronto Star and Toronto Life.
Helen’s passion has always led her to photograph what she feels passionate about, from celebrities to actors. Her latest focus has been capturing the essence of women over 40, which Helen calls ‘Sundari Woman.‘ This project celebrates the beauty of aging. The ‘Sundari Women’ series has evolved into a sold-out coffee table-book, gaining attention in numerous news outlets for my advocacy and commitment to showcasing aging in a positive and inspirational light.
Meet MT
MT Meikle is the founder and an owner of La Closette. MT has over20 years of experience in the fashion industry, as a stylist, a model, and in fashion merchandising. Through La Closette, MT shares her belief that fashion should be accessible to all, regardless of body type and budget.
With a keen sense of what is current and a realistic view of wearable style, she brings her well-trained eye to many happy, confidently dressed men and women from all walks of life. MT also offers her fashion knowledge to the corporate world through presentations, fashion consulting to retailers and designers on market development.
Prior to founding La Closette, MT earned her BScN at McMaster University and practiced for over a decade as a registered nurse specializing in public health, mental health and eating disorders.
